Hopefully this will clear up any questions about the many medals (i.e. XBOX Live achievements) in Chromehounds.
Story Mode Medals: 8
Scout Complete (20) Complete Scout arc in Story Mode Soldier Complete (20) Complete Soldier arc in Story Mode Sniper Complete (20) Complete Sniper arc in Story Mode Gunner Complete (20) Complete H. Gunner arc in Story Mode Defense Complete (20) Complete Defender arc in Story Mode Command Complete (20) Complete Commander arc in Story Mode These medals are for completing the 6 different role type story lines in the off-line mode. You have to complete all of the missions for the specified RT, but you do not have to acheive 'S' rank to obtain these medals.
All Tact. Complete (20) Complete all missions in Story Mode Awarded for completing the final off-line mission. You do not have to have 'S' rank in any missions to obtain this medal.
Tact. Instructor (20) Top marks in every Story Mode mission Obtained by completing all off-line missions with 'S' rank.
Specialist Medals: 6
Hover Specialist (20) Deploy on hover Chassis 50 times Wheel Specialist (20) Deploy on wheeled Chassis 50 times Biped Specialist (20) Deploy on bipedal Chassis 50 times Inverse Specialist (20) Deploy on inverse Chassis 50 times Tread Spec. (20) Deploy on treaded Chassis 50 times Multi Spec. (20) Deploy on multi Chassis 50 times The specialist medals are for deploying on each of the chassis types into war missions 50 times. Free battles do not count. You do not have to win or survive the missions, but you must complete the mission all the way through the post-mission briefing to get credit for the deployment.
Valor Medals: 6

Combat Related Medals: 12
Crushing Award (20) Wipe out enemy and live 100 times Storming Award (20) Attack opponent first 30 times Survival Award (20) Return alive 10 times or more in a row Red Flag (20) Win a total of 100 times or more Bronze Wing (20) Destroy 50 or more enemy HOUNDs Bronze Flag (20) Secure COMBASs total of 100 times Bronze Hammer (20) Destroy enemy HQ and win 50 times Silver Wing (20) Destroy total of 100 enemy HOUNDs Silver Flag (20) Secure COMBASs total of 300 times Silver Hammer (20) Destroy enemy HQ and win 100 times These medals requirements are all self-explanatory. As with the Specialist medals, only war missions count and you must complete the mission in order to get credit.
Marching Service (20) Travel total of 1000000 Military Service (20) Deploy total of 300 times or more It has been my experience that most people playing normally will get their Marching Service and Military Service medals about the same time.
War Related Medals: 4
Bronze Patriot (20) Stay w/ same nation for 3 seasons Capital Occupation (20) Affiliated nation destroys another Nation Resurrector (20) Successfully revive affiliated nation Neroimus War Medal (40) Affiliated nation wins Neroimus War Any war in which your squad changes allegiance will NOT count, so it will require staying in that nation for 3 wars AFTER the war in which your squad last changed nations in order to get the Bronze Patriot medal. You do NOT have to participate in the guerilla battles in order to qualify for the Nation Resurrector medal. Actually, you do NOT have to be active online to earn any of these medals. You will however have to log in to get awarded any medals you may have earned while away.
Leader-Board Related Medals: 6
Note: due to rampant 'boosting' it is common for all of these medals to be awarded to boosters most of the time. On rare occasions a few squads have managed to earn some of them legitimately.
Gold Eagle (20) #1 in total fame for a given period Gold Wing (20) #1 in avg total fame for a given period Gold Sword Cross (20) #1 in total conquest pts for period These medals are awarded to the squad that maintains the top rank on the respective 'Totals' leader-boards for 72 hours. However, it would seem that the there is a bug in the game and the Gold Wing and Gold Sword Cross are switched.
Gold Cross (20) #1 in seasonal fame at end Gold Hexagon (20) #1 in average seasonal fame at end Gold Lion (20) #1 in seasonal conquest points at end These medals are awarded to the squad that attained the top rank on the respective leader-boards at the end of each war.
Secret Achievements: 7
Combat Award (20) [secret] Win 10 times when outnumbered In order to qualify for this award you must be outnumbered 3:1 and win the mission. Basically, in a 3v3 mission two of your squad-mates must die before any of the other hounds and you must proceed to win the mission, by any of the three possible conditions (destroy all 3 enemy HOUNDS, maintain COMBAS superiority or destroy the enemy base).
Dist. Service (20) [secret] Destroy unidentified enemy weapon The 'Unidentified Weapons' also commonly referred to as 'Secret Weapons' or 'Super Weapons' and have their own reference page: Unidentified Weapons
Bloodless Award (20) [secret] Win 5 times w/o attacking enemy Consolation award for not having done your part on the mission.
Humane Award (20) [secret] End 5 times in a row w/o killing enemy Easy to get by attacking bases and not the enemy hounds (see HVG Valor, Bronze Hammer or Silver Hammer medals).
Silver Patriot (20) [secret] Donate to affiliate nation 1 times You only need to donate once to get this medal. There is no reason to donate more than once.
Touring Service (20) [secret] Deploy to every Battlefield once You do not have to win the mission, but you do have to complete it. If you are dropped during the mission (i.e. you do NOT make it to the post-mission briefing) then it did NOT count. You can use one of the check-lists on this site to help keep track of the maps you have deployed on (see Maps Checklists under Neroimus Battlefields section).
Hound Specialist (20) [secret] Own one of every part in the game You must purchase all of the hound parts available in the stores in all three nations. Story mode and downloadable content are NOT required for this medal. You can use the HOUND Parts Stats reference tables to see which parts you may be missing. The 'price' column indicates if the part is download, story-mode or shows the MSRP.
